I love this place. The most eastern point of mainland Canada and one of the most delightful.
My one preconception of Nova Scotia came from Alistair Macleod’s Island which painted a wet, bleak and dismal picture. Quite to my delight and surprise, Nova Scotia in the spring is gorgeous, full of life and made me very happy.
Let’s start in Cape Chignecto with what-not-to-do-on-a-hike as I believe this was a founding part of my entire East Coast Journey. It was scary, I was dumb, and I learnt my lesson. From there I’m more comfortable sharing my other hikes and adventures in Nova Scotia.
